John Pezzenti

John Pezzenti (1952-2007) -- Connecticut, Alaska

John Pezzenti, Jr. migrated from Connecticut to Alaska to pursue wildlife photography nearly thirty years ago. His unique photographs and stories have filled the pages of Alaska: A Photographic Journey Through the Last Wilderness, The American Eagle and Shooting Bears: The Adventures of a Wildlife Photographer.

His greatest accomplishment is to have given lectures at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC, as well as at the Museum of Natural History in New York City. His photographic prints hang in a multitude of corporate and personal collections, including the White House, and he has been seen nationwide on various television specials.

Pezzenti's photographs have been seen in such publications as National Geographic, Outdoor Photographer, Reader's Digest, National Wildlife, Shutterbug, Peterson's Photographic, and Natural History. Pezzenti dedicated his life to bringing the soul of the wilderness to us all, for which he received unprecedented global recognition.

Pezzenti's book royalties went to The American Leprosy Missions.
